WHAT MAKES AERO-GRO Unique?
In your outside garden, nature does an amazing job maintaining balance. There are many influential factors and tremendous complexities in nature. Taking over nature’s job by growing indoors – with no soil – is no small feat!
Our testing has shown that the secret to growing successfully using aeroponics is getting all of the components to work together seamlessly and flawlessly. There is no room for gaps in performance or failure, because – just like human beings – plants don’t last very long without food and water.
No other system on the market offers what Aero-Gro offers – a 50 micron TRUE AEROPONIC system that is automated, commercial-quality, adjustable, self-contained, and complete – right out of the box!
How Does The Aero-Gro Work?
Basic Components
Aero-Gro User Control
• Nutrient Delivery – how often the air and nutrients are sent to the spray nozzle, and the duration of the event
• Root Zone Aeration – how often the fan in the root zone is activated, and the duration of the event
• UV Sterilization – how often the Gro-Buckets and the nutrient bucket are UV sterilized, and the duration of the event
• pH Cycling – how often the nutrient solution is circulated and pH balanced
Unique Aero-Gro Bucket
In any type of growing, healthy roots are everything.
The Aero-Gro bucket – where the roots live – is a pretty sophisticated bit of kit!
The roots live in a UV sterilized, light-proof food-grade bucket that we call the “Gro-Zone”
Air and nutrient solution are periodically pumped under slight pressure to a unique, patented spray nozzle, which is built into the lid.
Excess nutrient solution then drains out the bottom of the “gro” bucket and is pumped back to the nutrient bucket. Then nutrient solution is then aerated, UV sterilized, pH balanced, and readied for the next feeding cycle.
Feeding cycles can be fine-tuned, but are typically around 10 seconds of spray, every four or five minutes.
The Gro-Bucket also contains a UV sterilization bulb, an air circulation fan, and a unique, 3D-printed system for holding the plants safely in place. Everything required for maintaining proper root health is built into the lid.
pH Regulation
Your plant’s roots require a slightly acidic pH to uptake the nutrients essential for growth. When the the pH travels outside of the acceptable range, your plants experience “nutrient lockout.” Depriving plants of nutrients stunts plant growth and weakens their immune systems.
Keeping the pH regulated is often thought of as a pain-in-the-butt challenge for those growing indoors. It’s not an issue with Aero-Gro, because it uses a patented “ion capture” technology to manage pH. No daily action is required, but we recommend cleaning out the unit every few months.
It can literally be cleaned in the kitchen sink with some hydrogen peroxide and water.
True story!
50 Micron Water Droplets
Most nozzles on the market simply pump nutrient solution through a simple atomizer nozzle, similar to the cheap plastic spray bottles in your home. Droplets are large and not easily absorbed by plant roots.
Aero-Gro uses a unique, patented carbon fiber spray nozzle (made in the USA) that combines water with air right inside the nozzle. This mixing action produces a much finer spray comprised of droplets in the 50 micron range. In fact, the spray is so fine that it is is referred to as “dry fog” because it literally resembles fog.
The tiny droplets encourage the growth of finer, more delicate root hairs, which increases absorption. Increased absorption means a more efficient root structure, which results in faster-growing, healthier plants!
